Chicken run! A bike carrying chickens was struck by a truck going in the opposite direction. The only victims were a few chooks.

The Central/West border.
Beautiful ride today. Dendy escorted us about 200 kms to the border of Central and West Java where we had lunch (oxtail soup and fried chichen). Weather is very pleasent. We will go to Dieng Plateau tomorrow. Then back to wonosobo for another night.
Only 4 sleeps to go. I still have not been able to get a motorbike arranged in Jakarta. They don't like hiring to ex-pats and bikes are supposed to stay locally. The guys on the ADV rider blog have been very frendly and helpfull. I will just have to hit the streets and wing it when we get there. Tina has developed some kidney pains this week so I will add a kidney belt to my shopping list.
Tina and I went for a ride on the wee today to try out out new gear for the Java adventure. We bought a Scala Cardo rider Q2 Multiset bluetooth intercom. It works well.
Some pics of the run from Ipswich to Jimboomba.
Tina tried to get a photo of me riding thru the water...but this was the best shot after 6 crossings.
I am very impressed with the ABS on the wee. There were lots of clay and mud on this route to try it out. It works much better than I anticipated - In fact, I thought it would be rubbish.
